Experts in addictions and medicine will share the latest information about trends in treatment at the annual Hawai’i Addictions Conference at The Queen’s Conference Center on May 6, 2016, from 7 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The conference is hosted by the John A. Burns School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. The conference is Hawai’i’s premiere training, education, networking, and skill-building opportunity centering on addictions. According to the organizers, this year’s theme of “Emerging Trends in Treatment and Addiction” focuses on new horizons in the diagnosis and treatment of addictions, breakthroughs in evidence-based research, the changing climate of drug policy and the current culture of patient care.
