The MD Class of 2017 is roaring to the finish line. Members of the class began their final year at the John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) this week with a Senior Seminar, one of three they will take part in on the Kaka’ako campus before they graduate in May 2017. The final two will be around Match Day (in March 2017) and just before commencement.
Many members of the fourth-year class have performing “away electives” at some of the institutions where they might consider applying to when they begin residency. The rest of their time will be spent working on the wards of our partner training hospitals and clinics, and most urgent at the moment, gathering materials to submit their applications to Residency Training programs here and on the U.S. mainland in time for the September 15, 2016 application deadline.
