Make A Wish Hawaiʻi and the John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) help a college freshmanʻs dream come true, when he visits the school is officially named a JABSOM MD Student for the Day.
Just before heading to his undergraduate studies at the University of San Francisco, Ross received a diagnosis of leukemia. But he wants to return home after college to enroll in the University of Hawaiʻi medical school–and JABSOMʻs MD Class of 2019 is rooting for him. The students cheered Ross on and talked story with him, topping off a visit that included Ross getting hands-on medical training and receiving his very own JABSOM seal-embossed white coat and stethoscope.
