The Primary Care Progress (PCP) John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) chapter is seeking primary care physicians who are interested in mentoring first-year medical students in the following specialties:
- Family Medicine (4)
- Internal Medicine (3)
- Pediatrics (3)
The PCP-JABSOM program matches first-year medical students interested in primary care with primary care physicians in the community. The mentorship begins February 2017 through July 2017.
About the National PCP-JABSOM chapter
In 2015, the University of Hawaiʻi John A. Burns School of Medicine became the 49th national PCP chapter. The PCP-JABSOM chapter was initiated by a group of students representing each year of medical school. The mission of this chapter is to promote interdisciplinary collaboration, mentorship, and community outreach in primary care throughout the Hawaiian Islands.
