The April 2017 edition of the Hawaiʻi Journal of Medicine and Public Health (HJM&PH) features a cost-benefit analysis of using statins in Hawai‘i; a study examining the long-term outcome of managing the posterior capsule in pseudophakic children; and a case report associating the Salmonella muenchen serovar with rhabodomyolysis and myocarditis. In the Medical School Hotline, the journal highlights efforts to reform and incorporate American medical education methodologies into the traditional Japanese system.
