The Hawaiʻi Homeless Outreach and Medical Education (H.O.M.E.) Project transformed the lobby of the Medical Education Building at the John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) into a spooky setting by hanging orange lights and erecting a ghastly archway across the foot of the stair for its Halloween bake sale on October 20th.

Students and faculty could not keep their sweet teeth way from the colorful array of festive baked goods such as Dr. Jill Omori’s pumpkin mousse swirled inside of cookie cups or screaming donuts embellished with edible eyes and red fangs made of candy.

In addition to the bake sale, there were also Halloween decorations, costumes and pumpkin-carving tools for sale. All proceeds will be used by the Hawaiʻi H.O.M.E. Project and MD students to recreate a Halloween Village for homeless families to enjoy this week at Oahu shelters.
