Researchers at the University of Hawai’i (UH), including the John A. Burns School of Medicine, are working to transform their research into products that can improve health in our neighborhoods, and around the world.
Recently, the inventors at UH were celebrated in a dinner sponsored by American Savings Bank. Several of JABSOM’s patent holders were on hand, including Dr. Thomas Ernst, Dr. Axel Lehrer and Dr. Alexander Stokes, Dr. Reinhold Penner, Dr. Virginia Hinshaw, Dr. Andrea Fleig, and Dr. Ryan Louie, among others. Cool “baseball cards” were produced with the patent-holders faces on one side and information about their patents on the other.
