The University of Hawaiʻi (UH) Men’s Rainbow basketball team lost their last home game of the season at the Stan Sheriff Arena on Saturday night, but it sure wasn’t for the lack of fan spirit.
Members of the the UH John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) Alumni Association were among the spectators cheering on the ‘Bows. Alumni President Richard Kasuya (JABSOM MD 1989) hosted the event, which included dinner in a room backstage in the arena, and visits from the UH Athletics Director, an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach and JABSOM Dean Jerris Hedges. MD 2020 class member Sai Tummala gave an inspiring talk about how lessons learned through teamwork apply to both college level basketball and to the study of medicine.
Enjoy our wrap-up video and photo album–and because of the great success of the basketball outing, keep an eye out for more of these type of Alumni Events!
