Director of the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases Dr. Griffin P. Rodgers spoke at the John A. Burns School of Medicine about the recent advances and emerging opportunities in NIDDK-funded research, with a focus on obesity.
Dr. Rodgers says that about two-thirds of the adult population in the United States are considered overweight or obese and that number of overweight or obese children is rising along with it.
