It is the day they’ve been working hard for and waiting for–the MD Class of 2018 from the John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) become certified holders of an MD degree today! The ceremony at the Stan Sheriff Center begins at 3:30 p.m., but grads are asked to report no later than 2:30 p.m. to line up before the march into the arena to the strains of “Pomp and Circumstance.”
We have the info you need! All of JABSOM’s degrees will be awarded in the same afternoon ceremony, along with those of several other schools or colleges at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (UHM).
Reminder: Graduates report at 2:30 p.m.
The Commencement 2018 Speaker is Kauaʻi native General Eric K. Shinseki, Former United States Secretary of Veterans Affairs.

All graduates must have registered to participate in the ceremony by: May 1, 2018. The registration site opened in mid-February.
