Alumni Newsletter:
Spirits were high in September as event-goers gathered at the Willows to commemorate the 45th Anniversary of the ʻImi Hoʻōla Post-Baccalaureate Program.
Today there are 267 ʻImi Hoʻōla graduates who have successfully completed medical school. Native Hawaiians make up the largest part of the group at 35 percent, followed by Filipinos at 23 percent. Eighteen percent are Pacific Islanders coming from American Samoa, Guam, Palau and the Marshall Islands. Out of the entire group, 80 percent are currently practicing doctors providing primary care.
