Imagine stepping into a classroom to learn the proper technique in performing an emergency procedure and minutes later, being challenged to perform the technique in fifteen seconds! The pressure is on for the first-year University of Hawaiʻi medical students.
Are they up to the challenge? Find out in the video, below.
Intubation involves the insertion of a plastic tube into the trachea, or windpipe, to allow oxygen to pass from the mouth to the lungs. In the video, Amandalin Rock, MD 2022 candidate, exceeds expectations by performing the intubation in a record time of nine seconds.
