Dr. Malcolm Ing was selected as one of only four internationally known panelists to discuss the management of difficult strabismus problems, at the 2017 American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) Annual Meeting in New Orleans (November 11, 2017).
Dr. Ing serves as Clinical Professor and Chair, of the Ophthalmology Division at the University of Hawai’i John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM).
He presented his management of strabismus, a disorder also called “crossed eyes”, with case photos taken through the operating microscope and offering step-by-step instruction. Three million cases of strabismus, in which the eyes don’t look in exactly the same direction at the same time, are diagnosed annually in the United States, according to the Mayo Clinic.
