The 18th annual John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) Career Night was held on Tuesday, October 13, 2015.
This yearly event gives medical students an early opportunity to learn about various medical specialties from local physicians. Career Night is well anticipated by medical students as they begin contemplating which field seems best-fit for their future residency training after earning their degrees.
This year, students rotated through 11 six-minute sessions, where they had the chance to informally speak with 18 physicians. These sessions provided a great space for students to ask questions and receive honest answers from those who have personally worked in diverse fields of medicine – without holding anything back!
A special Mahalo to Dr. Wendell Foo, the Career Night Founder, who has helped gather the physicians who generously offer their time, advice and the value of their experience to our students.
